The king's table – a masterpiece made of macassar ebony
Delicately chiselled table corners and four feet consisting of 140 individual pieces each, all produced by hand, make this "table" a work of art. The wonderful surface reflection is created by multiple varnishes based on a special recipe, which are highly polished and harmonise perfectly with the 24-carat gold inlay.
The table has eight matching chairs from a separately constructed body mould and specially produced base - also from macassar ebony. The seats have deep cushions which are hand sown as well as backrests made from specially tanned, hand-patinated, top-quality leather, so that every guest can feast in elegance and relaxation.
The triptych sideboard is combined with an ornament sculpture with 24-carat gold cones. Two arches act as supports, complete with specially designed and moulded bases, supplemented by 24-carat gold frame inlays in the drawer bases and door hinges. The middle panel is made from the most delicate, specially patinated leather. Again, macassar ebony was varnished several times, and special polish used to create this precious surface.

Hermann Nachbaur was a vegetable farmer for over five decades before he reinvented himself. Not on a sudden impulse, but because a dream he had had for a long time finally became strong enough to be realized. Today, his sculptures are part of the international art scene. Olive Tree Pompeii
at Wempe
A special "jewel" has moved into Wempe Maximilianstraße: a three metre tall brass olive tree now adorns this traditional jeweller's basement. To mark the presentation of the "Olive Tree Pompeii", Alessandro Rizzo, Managing Director of Wempe Maximilianstraße, alongside Sarah Kronsbein, owner of Munich's "Kronsbein Galerie" and HERMANN hosted a "Storytelling Art Cocktail" on Thursday 8 August 2024 to tell guests about the history and journey of this very special tree.

Exhibition Little Red Riding Hood at the Philosophicum Lech 2022 on the topic of: Hate
The sculptor Hermann Nachbaur uses the poetry of the fairy tale Little Red Riding Rood to reflect on the background mechanisms of society. He transcribes its moral message to a socially critical confrontation with a reality penetrated by violence which devours morals and humanity, and points to sociopolitical tendencies such as sovereignty claims, abuse of power and self-destructive madness.
Art Basel – Miami 2021: Golden Donut as the Centrepiece

Bernd Kussmaul – Perfection in design, technology and manufacture
Hermann meets Bernd Kussmaul - at the German premiere of the new Porsche 911 restored and redesigned DLS Study by Singer on 19 March 2019 - on the premises of this international design and technology service provider from Weinstadt. Kussmaul had been given the order to manufacture all metal interiors and decorations. The parts were cut primarily from aluminium and then polished by hand under a microscope for up to ten hours followed by anodic treatment in black or natural colour. To this were added magnesium, leather, wood and carbon components.
Budja takes Hermann to the Art Basel - Miami
The international gallery owner Rudolf Budja offers American and European 20th century art with a focus on pop art. He relies on his experience and intuition and is taking Hermann with him to the "Art Basel" in Miami. And flying across the Atlantic inspires Hermann: The premiere of the "Golden Donut" and a success in the new 1/8 edition.

Erich Stekovics can give Hermann "an hour" – this turns into an intensive dialogue about all and sundry lasting 6 hours. Insights into a new way to treat nature and species-appropriate planting of different breeds. Ranging from garlic to chillis and tomatoes, from biodiversity to the discovery of the highly valuable Inca pepper – Charapita. And nature says thank you with a bountiful harvest. Sunshine in your pocket. That's how God created nature. And Hermann is inspired: "Marmande La Grande" – the oversized tomato, "Field 1-2-3", "Brown Hare"...
Hermann arouses the interest of Budja
Outside the box with Instagram. Hermann inspires and arouses the interest of Rudolf Budja with his extraordinary work. Unison, an easy-going mind and respect for different individuals. Budja invites Hermann to the "Salzburg International Art Fair 2019". The object to be exhibited is "Little Red Riding Hood", which will then also remain at his gallery as an exhibition piece. This is followed by the oversized tomato "Marmande la Grande" and the invitation to Art Basel-Miami with the object "Golden Donut".

Jonty versus Hermann
The project “The Lovers of Pompeii” and Hermann's idea to place a sculpture of two lovers into the hollow trunk of the olive tree based on Body Obsessed, was Jonty Hurwitz’s cue. Besides, it had been high time for a personal creative sparring and a visit to Vorarlberg.

The ancient olive tree with roots, by virtue of its intrinsic aesthetics, is a work of art designed by nature. As a result, it took a while to approach the object with respect and sensitivity. The idea started by restoring the olive tree to its full splendour – branches, leaves and fruit.

With inspiration from Luisa Casati, Olga Berluti - Paris and Hermes, the new ensemble for the salon of the Meier family in Vaduz was the result.
